Using data from the experience acquired in the Municipal Clinical Hospital No.2 in Vladivostok, the authors have conducted comparative analysis of catgut suture and vycril suture applied to provide surgical treatment of patients for urologic pathology. As a result, vycril suture allows decreasing consumption of this material during the surgery, reducing in-treatment period, improving patient's quality of life, and reducing costs for supplementary drug therapy.
