This notwithstanding, the following analysis showed some shortcomings of this classification and necessitated drawing up a new one. Based on the visual analysis and computer classification of measuring data base of 23 patients, the author proposes morphometric classification that includes three groups of the stratified flat epithelium: normoplastic, hyperplastic, and hypoplastic ones.
