По результатам генотипирования выяснено, что мать и отец были носителями разных типов H. pyloгу Отец страдал язвенной болезнью 12-перстной кишки. Дуоденальные язвы были обнаружены и у двух сыновей (9 и 7 лет), причем они были носителями разных генотипов бактерий («отцовского» и «материнского»). У третьего сына (4 года) H. pylory не обнаружен. После лечения у 9-летнего сына (носителя инфекции «отцовского» типа) наступило выздоровление, но он был реинфицирован матерью.
