<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Augmented reality (AR) technologies present a promising approach to modern abdominal surgery as they provide virtual, 3D models of anatomical structures overlaid on the actual surgical field. A literature review of the past five years revealed significant advances in using AR in liver and pancreatic surgeries due to its effectiveness in reducing intraoperative blood loss, blood transfusion frequency, and hospital stay length. Clinical studies confirm not only the safety of the method, but also its potential to increase the extent of oncological resections. Technical limitations and the need for standardization notwithstanding, augmented reality shows great promise in improving intraoperative navigation, reducing cognitive load on surgeons, and enhancing the precision of complex surgical procedures. The further development of AR technology involves integration with artificial intelligence and robotic systems.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>дополненная реальность</kwd><kwd>абдоминальная хирургия</kwd><kwd>навигация</kwd><kwd>лапароскопия</kwd><kwd>резекция печени</kwd><kwd>хирургия поджелудочной железы</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>augmented reality</kwd><kwd>abdominal surgery</kwd><kwd>navigation</kwd><kwd>laparoscopy</kwd><kwd>liver resection</kwd><kwd>pancreatic surgery</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Ramalhinho J, Yoo S, Dowrick T, Koo B, Somasundaram M, Gurusamy K, Hawkes DJ, Davidson B, Blandford A, Clarkson MJ.
