COMPARATIVE ACTIVITY OF SODIUM ALGINATE AND ENTEROSORBENTS FOR BINDING OF STRONTIUM AND YTTRIUM IONS IN VITRO
Abstract
strontium and yttrium ions and sodium alginate and enterosorbents,
and identifies indices of maximum strontium- and
yttrium-binding activity of the sorbents under study in the pH
range of 2 to 6. The Langmuir adsorption model has been used
to characterize the isotherms and find sorption indices. The experiments
show that the sodium alginate specimen seem to be
most efficient sorbent of stable strontium and yttrium isotopes
that makes it possible to use sodium alginate as a basis for creating
high-efficiency radioprotectors.
