EFFECT OF ELEUTEROCOCUS ON PHYSICAL CAPABILITY UNDER ACUTE AND CHRONIC NOISE EFFECTS

Abstract

The experiments on SHK male-mice showed optimization
of animal's physical capabilities under chronic noise
effects (80 dB within 4 hours during 20 days). Intragastric introduction
of this drug at a dose of 1 ml/kg twice a day has increased
duration of swimming until absolute fatigue (with 7% load on
the tail). The eleuterococus exhibited energy-saving effects under
the noise stress and hindered exhaustion of glycogen and adenosine
triphosphate reserves in liver and skeletal muscles.
