Chronic maxillary sinusitis of chlamidia etiology: detection rate and clinical and immunological features
Abstract
The paper provides results of clinical and epidemiological examinations of patients suffering from chronic maxillary sinusitis which is associated and not associated with Chlamidia infection. The authors point out high detection rate of two Chlamidia types (Chlamydia trachomatis and Chlamydophila pneumoniae) in patients with inflammatory processes in maxillary sinuses. As reported, there are some specific clinical and laboratory presentations of chronic maxillary sinusitis in patients with verified Chlamidia infection.
