MODERN IDEAS ABOUT THE MECHANISM OF ANTINEOPLASTIC ACTION OF METHOTREXATE AND RESISTANCE TO IT

Abstract

The review of the literature devoted to mechanisms of action of methotrexate and prospects of chemotherapy of tumors. Prospects of development of chemotherapy and biotherapy seem to be optimistic in the situations when the potential of the surgical method of treatment of tumors seems practically exhausted. Constant intensive research in clinical and experimental oncology raises hopes for the further progress in this area and increase in an arsenal of struggle with malignant tumors.
