STENTING OF ESOPHAGUS
Abstract
The paper describes technique of oesophagus stent-ing under strictures of neoplastic or nonneoplastic origin, focus-ing special attention on features of different devices, indications and contra-indications to their application. Based on the litera-ture, the author provides grounds for high effectiveness of oe-sophagus stents. Application of this procedure allows suppressing severe symptoms and improving quality of life for the patients who suffer from progressive oncological process.
