COMPLICATED COLORECTAL CANCER AS BOTH SURGICAL AND SOCIAL PROBLEM
Abstract
The authors present analysis of treatment results of 137 patients suffering from complicated colorectal cancer. Among them, patients of elderly and old ages amounted to 71%. 119 pa-tients were operated on. Based on the findings, the authors show advantages of delayed and radical surgery, as well as conditionally radical operations to be performed on this patient population. The paper also touches upon a subject of the quality of diagnostics of colorectal cancer, especially at patients of elderly age.
