CLASSIFICATION OF CUTANEOUS SUTURES FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF APPLIED SURGERY

Abstract

Based on the clinical data and literature, the authors systematize the methods to use cutaneous sutures dividing them into the types and ways of applying, as well as present their own modifications of cutaneous surgical sutures. In authors- opinion, the given systematization will make for planning an optimal therapeutic approach of incisional wounds closing, taking into account the spatial characteristic of the chosen suture with respect to the wound defect.
