СОЦИАЛЬНО-МЕДИЦИНСКИЙ СТАТУС ВИЧ-ИНФИЦИРОВАННЫХ ЖЕНЩИН, ОТКАЗАВШИХСЯ ОТ СВОИХ ДЕТЕЙ

Аннотация

In 2002-2008, 96 abandoned children were treated in the regional department for children born of HIV-infected mothers. Social and medical portrait of HIV-positive mothers who have abandoned their new-born children seems to be extremely negative. These are, for the most part, socially disadapted women having somatic and gynaecological pathology, infectious diseases with parenteral transmission (abuse of narcotics), and sexually transmitted diseases. The findings give evidence of social aspect of this problem, which requires resolving from the state authorities.
