EFFECTS OF EXTRACTS OF REYNOUTRIAfAPONICA UNDER STRESS-INDUCING FACTORs

Abstract

The authors have studied effects of dry and water-based extracts of Reynoutria japonica on the central nervous system of laboratory animals. As reported, R. japonica-based medications exhibit biological activity of adaptogene and anxiolytic nature, thus shifting the ratio of passive defensive and investigative components of behaviour to the latter ones during in-field testing and surmounting anxiophobic manifestations in the elevated plus maze in case of the maximum sensory load.
