Abstract
Epilepsy is a neurological disease characterized by recurrent and non-triggered seizures. Experimental simulation of epilepsy and modern neuroimaging methods are indicative of the fact that the attacks result in the death of neurons. Examining the dead cells in the focuses of epileptiform activities allows to visualize induction of molecular mechanisms of apoptosis. This overview considers the role of apoptosis during the post-epileptiform attacks, summarizes data about mitochondrial and receptor ways of apoptosis after the epileptic seizures and indicates the activation of modulators of neuronal cell death that are caspase and proteins of Bcl-2 family, and their role in epileptogenesis.

Abstract
Applying polymerase chain reaction, the authors have studied distribution of polymorphous variants of genes responsible for coding glutathione transferases (GSTM1 и GSTT1) in 60 patients with chronic obstructive lung disease associated with stable angina and 30 healthy men and detected high frequency of homozygous deletions of these genes. The zero genotype GSTT1 is reliably indicative of the severity of lung pathology. The associated deletion genotype GSTM1 and GSTT1 is characterized by increasing relative risk of a combined pathology of heart and lungs. Detection of molecular genetic markers will make it possible to apply them for identifying risk groups and implementing

Abstract
The authors have examined 96 patients suffered from type 2 diabetes, arterial hypertension and visceral adiposity and administered antihypertensive treatment with Ramipril, Telmisartan, Rilmenidine and Nebivolol, performing 24-hour monitoring of the arterial blood pressure. The findings statistically reliably proved efficiency and safety of these medications used to treat arterial hypertension associated with type 2 diabetes

Abstract
Application of Vistar original model of experimental arterial hypertension in 30 rats allowed to detect that vegetative regulation of the heart rhythm correlated with the level of arterial blood pressure. Stable increase of arterial blood pressure and symptomatic hypertension in rats brought about formation of vegetative dysfunction. This pathologic process in the vegetative nervous system was characterized by increasing adrenergic activity. Besides, this was indicative of a considerable increase in the tension index and excessive centralization of control of chronotropic heart function

Abstract
The authors have examined 76 elderly patients suffering from vitamine-В12-deficiency anemia and via tetrapolar thoracic rheography estimated the state of central hemodynamics, defining the levels of kallikrein and prekallikrein in blood serum. In all cases the treatment included Ciankobalamin at the 400-800 mkg/day dose. The first two years of the disease were characterized by en hancing contractility of left ventricular myocardium, its overload and hypertrophy. There was hyperkinetic type of hemodynamics. Given the long duration of the disease lasting over two years, the course of the disease was being characterized by dilation of left ventricle of heart and hypokinetic type of hemodynamics associated with myocardial contractility disorders. The authors consider the high level of kallikreinemia detected in all cases irrespective of the duration of the disease to be the most important cause of an increase in vascular tone and decrease of heart contractility.

The present conceptions of the congenital glaucoma
pathogenesis aren't based on the morphologic substrate. The
participation of the immunocompetent cells in the process of eye
drainage system physiological regeneration was determined by
the modern method of the immune histochemistry. The interaction of the immunocompetent cells in the eye anterior segment
is supposed. The role of the mesenchymal tissue phagocytosis, as
one of the key restructuring mechanism during the physiological
regeneration of the drainage system was considered. The authors
put forward the conception of the immune phagocytic control
imbalance in the glaucoma pathogenesis.

Abstract
Summary - The authors have monitored cytological profile of nasal secretion discharged during allergic rhinitis diagnosed in 105 patients aged 3 to 14 years old. In the course of their studies, they applied a method of impression smears obtained from nasal mucosa, analysed cellular spectrum and cell destruction degree. At the time of recrudescence, the cytogram was inclusive of scutes and squamous epithelial cells and in great numbers -eosinophils and neutrophils with various degree of destruction. When there is a combination of allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma, they evidenced an increase in the content of squamous epithelial cells (including parabasal layer), eosinophils and segmentated cells with high degree of destruction. Dynamics in the cell composition of nasal cytograms has given a view of character, degree, type and trend of inflammatory changes, has proved to be informational for diagnostic purposes and from now on may be used as a criterion to evaluate the treatment efficiency of allergic diseases of children's upper respiratory tract.

Abstract
To this day, the doctors cannot reach an understanding about the role of nutrition in the system intended for preventing progression of allelically determined immunological disorders. The authors have analyzed newborn histories (form 112) and case follow-up of 44 children since birth to six months, and drawn a conclusion that the breast feeding is the most important condition to prevent the manifestation of inherited predisposition for allergic hyperresponsiveness. Early artificial feeding is a complimentary factor that results in metabolic programming disorders and genetically determined immunological disorders

Abstract
During the period from 2001 to 2008 213 patients
aged 8 months to 17 years underwent operations for ingrown nail.
The authors recommend a new method of surgical treatment by
destruction of nail growth plate using low-frequency ultrasound
(Kaviton). Having compared traditional surgical methods and
this new method, they offer original assessment of surgical treatment to be administered to children and adolescents suffering
from ingrown nail. Low-frequency ultrasound brings on aseptic
coagulation necrosis of the nail growth plate that prevents recurrence of the disease.

Abstract
This paper provides results of health data analy-sis performed to 689 children aged 2 to 9 years with attention deficit hyperactivity disorders caused by perinatal affection of the central nervous system. The examination allowed detecting disorders in the cardiovascular system and gastrointestinal tract, deterioration in emotional status, and overstress of the vegetative regulation. These disorders included cerebral dyshemia and autoregulatory disorders of cerebral circulation, lagging of brain biorhythm wave structure maturation, and immune cell activity disorders. The manifestation of these disorders depended on the extent of neurologic-and-behavioral development lagging.

Abstract
The paper provides analysis of school-aged children's health level and assessment of morphofunctional status, metabolic processes, peculiar dietary habits and periodicity of food consumption. Nutrition features of the children and adolescents living in Primorsky Krai are indicative of its irregularity, inadequate diet by primary ingredients that causes low health indices. Today, the examinations allowed to detect trophotropic metabolism in adolescents, especially in girls aged 13. At the average, every seventh child has tended towards reduction of protein metabolism level; these disorders were most frequently observed and well manifested in children aged 11 to 12 years.

The authors have conducted comprehensive examination of 76 children aged 15-17 years with community-acquired
pneumonia via computer-based bronchial phonography and revealed that the frequency of the first acoustic peak increased by
21.8% and the coefficient of value difference between amplitudes
of the 1st and 2nd acoustic peaks increased over two times. They also have detected a decrease of the coefficients of difference of amplitudes and frequencies of the first two and the 2nd and 3rd acoustic
peaks by 67.4 и 86.7%, respectively. Sufficiently high sensitivity
of the computer-based bronchial phonography (86.7%) allows to
recommend it as complementary method of acoustic imaging of

Abstract
The paper considers the state of immune status in 52 children aged 12 to 17 with chronic viral hepatitis B and C. The immune system changes do not depend on etiological agent and are characterized by decreasing cell and increasing humoral immunity responsiveness. Besides, the patients suffering from chronic viral hepatitis C have the natural killers content reduced that leads to more apparent decrease in the virus protection level.

Abstract
The influence of the natural complex of oligomer proantocyanidine (COPC), allocated of water-alcohol extract of a guilder-rose (Viburnum Sargentii) on physiological and structural characteristics of RBC membranes of the chronic alcoholic patients of the II stage, taking place on treatment in narcological clinic is investigated. For the comparison the standard medication Legalon was used. It is shown, that application of COPC together with standard therapy promoted faster restoration of the lipid component of RBC membranes than at patients in which only legalon therapy has been used. Thus the level of the malone dialdegide, antiradical activity and RBC osmotic stability to the hemolyzing agent was normalized. Introduction of COPC in the general therapy removed oxidative stress, strengthened antiradical protection and restored a ratio of the individual lipid components in membranes

Abstract
Pathogenicity at Pseudumonas aeruginosa is caused by the wide arsenal of virulent factors. One of the mechanisms dictating the expression of virulent factors is the phenomenon of cooperative sensitivity (Quorum Sensing) typical for P. aeruginosa. The characteristic of virulent factors of the P. aeruginosa strains is investigated by genotyping, circulating in ICU of a versatile hospital and their role in the opportunity of the development of intrahospital infections is appreciated. However, the polymorphism of the gene variants (virulent genes combination) does not allow to carry out effective and qualitative monitoring of the formation and circulation of the hospital strains and to reveal a source of an infection

Abstract
The paper analyzes structure and extent of various types of medical aid rendered to rural and urban population in Primorsky Krai. Given the similar sex-age structure, the total mortality rate in the countryside was higher than that of the urban dwellers. Primary health care doctor-population ratio is three times lower in the rural areas than that of the urban one. This notwithstanding, the district doctor-population ratio is somewhat higher. The quantity of beds intended for primary health care to be provided to the urban population is 1.5 times more. The extent of medical aid to rural population is lower than that of the urban one, give the higher hospitalization index. Data about expert and high-technology care are indicative of considerable decrease in its accessibility for rural population of the Primorsky Krai
